Interested in learning about the fascinating world of beekeeping?

These beginner friendly classes provide a perfect introduction: part lecture, part hands-on experience exploring the intricate workings of a beehive! Join Beekeeper Phil Rizzuto as he gives an overview of what you need to know before starting your own beekeeping journey.

Class Dates:
Saturday, May 31st and Sunday, June 1st, from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Note: We will select a rain date in case of poor weather, as outdoor hive sessions require favorable conditions.

Location:

115 Otis Wilson Rd, Erwin, TN 37650

This small, intimate class is limited to 10 participants.
Registration Fee: $60, covering both sessions.

Your Ticket Includes:

  • 5 hours of in-depth instruction

Phil Rizzuto is passionate about beekeeping with a focus on mindful care for the bees. Rather than a “harvest all the honey” mentality, Phil emphasizes responsible management of the hive, protecting the bees from pests and disease, while providing minimal intervention to encourage the colony’s growth and health.

Working on his Master’s degree in Beekeeping from Cornell University, Phil is not only an experienced beekeeper but also offers future advanced classes and queen bee sales at Chris’s Apiary.
